History of Filicudi

Filicudi is part of the Aeolian Islands, north of Sicily and, like most of its sister islands, it came from a volcanic eruption. For that reason, it offers rugged cliffs and stunning mountainous formations while having excellent waters for swimming. Remember to take your camera with you to capture the multicolored huge rocks which come out from the blue sea. Do not miss to visit the island's villages and connect with the friendly locals. Moreover, their cuisine is delicious, mostly consisted of fresh fish and salads. There are not many hotels and accommodations on the island since it is still relatively untouched and that is the reason of its unspoiled beauty.
