High-Speed Ferries

THE FASTEST WAY TO THE GREEK ISLANDS

Boat trips between the Greek islands are usually cheaper and offer a different setting as ferries stop on many islands before they reach their final destination. You can go from one island to the other with the various ferry companies linking the islands. Services are frequent and fares are reasonably priced for such a fast and quality transportation.
If you have already decided to travel between the islands, it is preferable to do it by speedboats as they offer not only many different route combinations but is the fastest way to the Greek islands. For example, you want to go from Athens to Mykonos and, for some reason, the timetable does not match your wishes, you may always go from Athens to Tinos and from Tinos to Mykonos, as this trip will only last 3 hours and is very accessible.

TYPES OF HIGH-SPEED FERRIES
HIGH-SPEED FERRIES
High-Speed ferries are usually smaller, the duration of the journey is usually half that of the conventional ones but the ticket fare is usually twice as high! They offer modern and comfortable lounges, air-seats and car garages. These Greek ferries are ideal for passengers who want to waste their time at the destination rather than on the ship.
CATAMARAN FERRIES
Catamarans are smaller than high-speed ferries and they only provide air-seats and small lounges with a bar. As their speed is fast, they are also called flying cats!
FLYING DOLPHINS
Flying Dolphins are the smallest boats that are sailing in the Greek seas. They run in short routes, such as from Athens to Aegina, Hydra, Poros, from Volos to Skiathos and Skopelos, and routes between the Dodecanese islands.
Due to their small size, they can be affected by bad weather conditions and their departure can be canceled.
