History of Lipari

Lipari is one of the seven Aeolian Islands, along with Vulcano, Salina, Panarea, Stromboli, Filicudi and Alicudi, north of eastern Sicily. Lipari is the biggest of them, with the most developed touristic infrastructure, also the capital of the seven and the most visited one in summer season. The island offers great beaches with clear waters, beautiful places for sightseeing, vivid nightlife and romantic roads for strolling. Its historical center and dominating castle are the first thing you will see after arriving. Do not forget to try their local wine called "Malvasia".
