Ferry Bari-Athens

Bari-Athens is a popular ferry line that has been in service for over 23 years. The crossing takes approx. 10 hours (check the detailed timetable by searching online). The route is now operated by Superfast Ferries (F/B Superfast I, F/B Superfast II) and Ventouris Ferries (F/B Rigel I, F/B Rigel II, F/B Bari and F/B Bridge). They offer daily departures on the ferry route from Bari to Athens.

Please note that you will need to check in at least 2 hours before departure in Bari. Foot and vehicle passengers need to show up in the Terminal (here's also the ticket office, where you get your boarding tickets).

Important notice: Ferry journey from Bari to Athens isn't operated! Please search for the itinerary Bari-Patras (frequent bus service to Athens).

The same goes for the Terminal in Greece. Check-in must happen at least 2 hours before departure. The check-in office is in the Terminal, and as foot and vehicle passenger you can get your boarding tickets here.

The access to Bari port:
-By car: You can take the A14 motorway and take the exit signposted Bari Nord. To get to Bari you can also take the Adriatic route, the provincial roads SS16.

By train: The nearest train station to Bari Ferry Port is Bari Central Railway Station (which is located about 3km from Bari Ferry port in Piazza Moro). From here take the No. 20 bus which will bring you inside the port, very close to the passenger terminal.

The access to the port Igoumenitsa:
-by the Egnatia Odos motorway with code number Ε90
-by the National Road Igoumenitsa-Ioannina-Metsovo-Trikala with code number Ε-90/Ε-92 and with Ε-92 for the section from prefectures of Ioannina and Trikala boarders.
-by the National Road Igoumenitsa-Preveza with code number Ε55.

b) Patras
Passenger Terminal-South Port of Patras

The access to the port Patras:
Coming from Athens or Pyrgos, moving along the Patras Bypass (PB), it is possible to reach the port using these alternative routes:
-Exit the PB at the Glaucus Junction-Glaucus highway under construction-Akti Dymeon-Gate A
-Exit the PB at the Glaucus Junction-EXIT D Ovria Junction-Andr. Papandreu Street-Akti Dymeon-Gate A
-Exit the PB at the Glaucus Junction-Clauss-E. Venizelos-Akti Dymeon-Gate A

-Passenger vehicles may also reach the South Port through the Corinth-Patras National Road-Kanellopoulou Str.-Iroon Polytechniou Str.-Othonos-Amalias Str.-Akti Dymeon.
